Equipment
What's needed?
Players will need a football helmet, pants, shoulder pads, cleats, mouth guard, navy socks, practice jersey and a protective cup (optional).
Helmet: Football helmet is to be white in color. ZYFA will provide helmet decals, which will be distributed once practices start.
Shoulder Pads: Only approved football shoulder pads. No hockey or lacrosse pads.
Pants:
- 2nd-5th grade: White or Navy (optional), to be solid in color with no stripes or decorations. Pants should have all standard pads including hip and knee pads.
- 6th-8th grade: Navy pants to be solid in color with no stripes or decorations. Pants should have all standard pads including hip and knee pads.

Riddell Equipment Sizing

Get properly fitted for football equipment with an expert from Riddell! Riddell has some of the top of the line helmets, shoulder pads and football pants on the market.
How does it work?
- Come to Wrestling room at Zimmerman High School on May 22nd 6:00-7:30pm.
- Get fitted for equipment and receive your list of appropriate sizes.
- Go to the online store and order your equipment:
Production and shipment of items does not begin until after the shop closes
Why are we having this so early? This is to ensure you will receive your football equipment before the start of Football Camp.
This is optional. ZYFA is providing an opportunity to maximize player safety. Correct fitting of football equipment is essential to serve the player and provide optimal protection.
